District Governor

Dr. Arlie Daniel will serve as the District 5770 Governor for 2017-2018.  Arlie joined Rotary in 1992 and served his club as President in 2003-2004.  He has been active in his club and District 5770.  He helped organize the Ada High School Interact Club and the East Central University Rotaract Club and has served as the District Chair for both, as well as serving on the “4-Way Test Speech Contest” committee for a number of years.  He has been awarded the Rotarian of the Year twice from his club.  Arlie earned his Paul Harris Fellow in 1996, and is now a member of the Paul Harris Society.  In 2016 he was recognized by RI as a Major Donor.

Dr. Daniel's background is in education.  He taught high school in Iowa for 9 years before getting his master's degree followed by his PhD.  He was a professor of Communication at ECU in Ada for 29 years.
